UPCOMING TRIPS
We are currently running one bus to the WWII National Memorial on Tuesday June 3, 2008 (this is our companion trip - one spouse/child/friend can go for a $55.00 fee) with pickups in the South and East. We will also have a Veteran's only trip on June 17, 2008 with West and East pickup.
THIS IS A SAMPLE TRIP ITINERARY
1. Leave Pittsburgh at 6:00 AM in a Luxury Charter Bus
(the bus makes a 15 minute stretch break on both legs of the trip)
2. Arrive at the WWII National Memorial about 11:00 AM
3. Memorial Service from 11:00 TO 11:15-11:30
4. Guided Tour from 11:30-12:00
5. Free Time 12:00-12:45
6. Korean/Vietnam Memorial 12:45-3:30 (Veteran's Only Trip)
6. Arlington National Cemetary 12:45-3:30 (Companion Trip)
7. Leave at 3:30 PM
8. Supper break approx 6:30 PM (box lunch or quick food at Truck Stop)
Arrive Pittsburgh at 8:30 PM
Every effort will be made to introduce Veterans to each other. The tour guides will also interact with the Veterans all day long making sure that all of their personal needs are met.
COSTS
All veterans are FREE. For Friends and relatives wanting to make a Donation to defray costs we will be accepting donations as the next trip approaches. Suggested donation $50. We will also consider individual requests to bring along a companion. Because these trips are non-profit, and bus seating is limited, we cannot guarantee space for companions even with a donation. We will however do our best to meet all of the needs expressed by a Veteran including this request if possible. If you want to bring a companion you may be put on a on a waiting list until one or two weeks prior to the trip until we can determine if we will have extra space.
