Jim Hilts is local business man, a veteran of Vietnam and the founder of the Get the Vets to DC bus tours. Jim’s father served in WWII and feels a real connection with fellow veterans.

He started collecting oral histories with his father and found that there was a real connection and allot of wisdom to be shared from one generation to another.

Neither Jim's or Dan's Dad ever made it to the WWII National Monument which is part of the inspiration to do these bus tours.
Bus trips will be determined by demand. We cannot guarantee that a bus will leave from each section of the city. Departing locations will be determined by the number of attendees from that area. All Veterans will be accommodated but you may have to travel to another area of town to get on a bus. Thank You.
